Mint family herbs are some the most well known and versatile pot herbs. Each herb has a similar counterpart with a complimentary yet unique flavor. Mint and Basil are soft and pungent, the flavors are great for pesto or even ice-cream. Oregano and Marjoram are quintessential Italian herbs, good for pasta sauce and meatballs. Sage and Thyme are the most unique of these herbs, both are perfect for poultry. Rosemary and Lavender are excellent for baking breads and cookies..
